What are the conditions of an ETA?

Visitor ETA

The conditions on a Visitor ETA are:

• It is valid for visits to Australia for tourism or to visit friends or relatives
• It is valid for multiple visits within 12 months from the date of issue
• The maximum length of each visit is three months
• You must not work while in Australia
• You must not study or train for more than three months
• You must be of good health
• You must be of good character

Short Validity Business Visa (ETA)

The conditions on a Short Validity Business ETA are:

• It is valid for a visit to Australia for business meetings, conventions, conferences or a short term project requiring a high level of skill; it does not include being employed by a company in Australia
• It is valid for multiple visits within 12 months from the date of issue
• The maximum length of the visit is three months.
• You must not study or train for more than three months
• You must be of good health
• You must be of good character

Long Term Validity Business Travel Visa (ETA)

The conditions on a Long Stay Validity Business ETA are:

• You must have a genuine intention and need to come to Australia temporarily for business
• You must not propose to stay for more than three months at each entry
• You must have adequate funds to support themselves while in Australia
• Tou should not intend to undertake study which could lead to a formal award
• You should not intend to engage in any activities which could adversely affect employment or training in Australia
• You should have personal qualities and a business background related to their stay in Australia
• You must meet the requirements for lodging a valid visa application
• You must meet health, character, public interest and special return requirements
• You must not study or train for more than three months
