Important Note:
If you have recently completed a course of study in Australia and are seeking Australian employment and/or permanent residency, you must lodge a valid application for migration under the skilled program, or a Skilled Graduate Visa, within six (6) months of completing your course to apply for your visa on-shore.

Failure to do so can mean:

• You will be required to apply from overseas;

• You will no longer be able to claim the minimum work experience exemption, AND;

• You will miss out on skills assessment concessions usually available to recent graduates in Australia.

This can mean that you need to secure up to a minimun 12 months work experience before you will be eligible to apply again. It is therefore very important to plan your visa preparation carefully to avoid missing this important deadline.
