Intensive Care Ambulance Paramedic

General: Provides specialised pre-hospital health care to injured, sick, infirm and aged persons and emergency transport to medical facilities. Tasks Include: attends accidents, emergencies and requests for medical assistance assesses specialised needs and factors affecting patient's condition performs therapies and administers drugs according to protocol resuscitates and defibrillates patients transports accident victims to medical facilities transports sick and disabled persons to and from centres of specialised treatment or rehabilitation instructs community groups and essential service workers in first aid attends public gatherings and sporting events where accidents and other health emergencies may occur
