What are the costs associated with a parent visa?
The fee for Parent applications lodged outside Australia
is currently $AU1,420.
If you lodge your 'Aged Parent' application in Australia, the fee is
currently $AU2,105.
 Applicants
for the existing parent visa will pay a health charge
of $AU1,235 per adult. Those applying for the new contributory
parent visa will pay a health charge of $AU31,555 per adult
(payable in one go or over two instalments).
All parent applicants require an ‘Assurance
of Support’ (a financial bond), which must
be lodged by their sponsor or another eligible person. The
bond is $AU3,500 for the main applicant under the existing
parent scheme, or $AU10,000 under the new contributory parent scheme.
There will be other costs associated with your application,
such as your medical examination, police clearance, the certification
of your documents and postage/courier costs.
