LIVE IN australia.com - Office Launch September 2007
DAMIEN LEITH CHARMS 'LIVE IN AUSTRALIA.COM' GUESTS AND TELLS THE WORLD HIS MIGRATION STORY
For all his musical triumphs in the four short years since arriving in Australia, Damien Leith's measure of success in migrating to Australia reveals his pragmatic and decidedly humble attitude.
"I haven't been out of work since arriving here, which is a wonderful thing to say," he told guests who attended the LIVE IN australia.com Official Office Launch this month. "It's a long way from playing in an ABBA tribute band back in Ireland, although I was a terrific Benny!"
As he told his story of being determined to live in Australia after a 2001 visit with his Australian wife Eileen, the family issues around their impending departure, and the three years it took he and Eileen to finally make the move, it was apparent that the hopes and fears that Damien experienced in making a life in Australia mirrored the emotions that so many migrants feel in making the same journey.

MINISTER ANDREWS IMPRESSIVE IN SUPPORT FOR SKILLED MIGRATION
The Minister for Immigration and Citizenship took the stage at this month's LIVE IN australia.com Official Office Launch to openly encourage skilled migrants to pursue a life in Australia, indicating that he and his Department are looking for ways to attract a broadest range of individuals as possible.
"The reality is that we in Australia are a nation of migrants. Since the end of the Second World War, six and a half million people have migrated to Australia and made it their home, and without them we would not be enjoying the prosperity and the great prospects at the present time."
In addressing the audience, the Hon. Kevin Andrews MP talked about Australia's long history of migration and the increasingly competitive nature of attracting skilled migrants to Australian shores.

LIVE IN AUSTRALIA.COM CLIENTS LOVE BOTH SIMPLIFYING VISA PROCESS AND LIFE IN AUSTRALIA
LIVE IN australia.com loves nothing more than meeting the people that the company has helped migrate to Australia, and the Official Office Launch was a perfect opportunity to catch up with a number of talented overseas workers who are making a life for themselves down under.
As is the nature of life's journey, skilled workers enter Australia via a range of different pathways and LIVE IN australia.com has been able to help all of them. This was no better illustrated than two clients, Monica from India and Bettina from Germany.
Monica came as a student to study Building Design Technology in Australia, and after graduating is currently working fulltime at Howard's Storage World where she worked part-time while on a student visa. Monica was thrilled that her employer was willing to sponsor her on a 457 to allow her to stay on in Australia.
