Of course, how quickly you can find a job in Australia depends on economic factors at any given time, your qualifications and skills, the type of work you are seeking and circumstances that may influence the availability of various jobs around Australia. Compared with much of the developed world, however, you probably have better prospects in Australia.
 

Australian governments set laws on wages and work conditions, with the aim of ensuring a fair and just work life. These laws address many issues, including types of legal agreements that define working relationships between employers and employees. Such agreements are quite diverse, including collective bargaining via unions, to individual common law contracts. The purpose of these agreements set the salaries paid to employees, the hours worked and conditions such as safety, leave, allowances, training, anti-discrimination and more. Going back as far as federation Australia has establish a long tradition of strong support for work laws starting with a minimum wage in the early 20th century. These laws and regulations are aimed at fair and reasonable employment conditions, making work places fair, safe and productive. Thus, both employers and employees earn rewards for their effort.
