Staff Profile

Name: Jeremy Walton
Position: Manager - Sales and Service Delivery
My role: I look after the migration services team and customer service for the company; I am passionate about making sure the whole team gives our clients the best service we can. The sales part is really focused on making sure we have products that deliver value for our clients. Next year we will be launching some new products that I think will really add more choices and assist our clients with the whole application process.
You’re a really passionate guy. What drives you? Life is too short not to be getting the most out of every situation you find yourself in. As you get older you start to realise what is really important and what is just stuff getting in the way. Find things you love doing and be the best you can be at them and never stop learning.
Where is your favourite overseas destination? New York
Why? How can you resist the city that never sleeps.
What was the last thing that made you laugh so hard you almost cried? My daughter taking her first steps and the look on her face when she suddenly realised if she did not hold onto the table then it was all over and she was going to fall. The look of surprise for that split second before she landed was priceless.
You’re a keen sailor and will be competing in this year’s Melbourne to Hobart yacht race. Why sailing? There is a saying that goes – “Ocean Yacht Racing – If it was easy everyone would do it.” That sums it up for me. It is about you, the crew, the boat and how you perform as an individual and as part of a team against nature. There are certainly times when it is not much fun (3am soaking wet sitting on the rail comes to mind) but the thrill of finishing 3-4 days after you started just has to be experienced. If you want something to do from the 27th December, log onto www.orcv.org.au and watch the race unfold. I am on a yacht called Rogue Trader going down the East Coast this year; with luck we will be in Hobart for New Year’s Eve!
What do you love most about Australia? The coast lines, when you sail you get a view of it that you just cannot get from the land; it is truly spectacular around the bottom of Tasmania.
Why would prospective migrants be coco-bananas not to use our services? Why wouldn’t you; it is such a life changing decision to move countries that you want it to be as stress-free as possible.
