Have you lived and worked anywhere else in the world?

Not as yet, although I would love to see more of the world.

What is the most common problem you solve for customers?

One of the main problems that most customers have is that they do not know what visa is most suitable for their circumstances. My role is to help guide potential migrants towards their most suitable immigration solution and to then help break down the processes that will help them achieve their goal of coming to Australia.

What are your top 3 recommendations for migrants to do and see in Australia?

While I have not experienced everything that Australia has to offer, I can say that I have thoroughly enjoyed "getting lost" in Melbourne and Sydney. On many occasions, I have found myself not sure of where to go but if you are brave and are willing to go on a bit of an adventure, you won't be disappointed. So my advice would be to forget using a GPS and just bask in the wonder of Melbourne or Sydney.

My three main recommendations would be:

  1. Enjoy a coffee or cocktail in Melbourne (Melbourne is blessed with some of the most decorated baristas and cocktail bars in the world)
  2. Have a BBQ by the Yarra River with some friends
  3. Be awed by the architectural brilliance of the Sydney Opera House

Why do you love helping people migrate to Australia?

Having been overseas several times and having worked in this industry for some time now, I have come across many people from a wide variety of different cultural backgrounds and many have expressed their interest in moving to Australia. Because many of them are unsure of what their first step should be, this is where I am genuinely most interested. By helping to guide potential migrants in seeking out their most suitable immigration solution and then to help them realise it through a combination of sound knowledge of current migration laws and the best possible customer service.

My parents and extended family migrated to Australia without the assistance of a Migration Advisor - it was a difficult experience. Through my knowledge and abilities, I can now help potential migrants the way they should be assisted.

What has been the highlight of your immigration career?

I would have to say experiencing the gratitude that clients have shown me whenever I have assisted them in obtaining their visas.

One couple that I assisted had been separated for quite some time and once I got them their visa... words cannot explain the gratitude that they expressed towards me for helping them throughout their ordeal.
